dressed in hand me down marigolds
your words taste like chemicals
this pollination is ripe
you peeled my skin like a knife
now you're picking the petals
singing old nursery rhymes
love me not, love me not, love me not, love me not
now you're picking the petals
singing old nursery rhymes
in aching overtones of skin
thrown out like old centerfolds
your words taste like chemicals
this altercation is ripe
you peeled me out of your life

This entire album rips. I've had this on repeated play several times since it came out. I wish I had heard it a week earlier when they played in Boston. One of my fav albums in this genre period. slimes
Fans of Polvo, take note! The excellent Kansas City band Abandoncy has the same fondness for corkscrewing riffs & melodies. It’s great! Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 28, 2022

This one also took me a while to get into. It strikes me as less HC than Untitled and less poppy than Ultrapop (stupid I know). Let's call this the No Wave record. Its musical (and amusical) density is matching the persistent sound in my head right now. barnaby nygren
